U.S.P.H STANDARD PROCEDURES TO BE FOLLOWED STRICTLY on Cruise Ship

 1. Appearance (clean uniform, shaved, hair cut short and combed, trimmed nails)

2.Do not smoke, do not drink and do not eat in the part where the Food and Drinks are prepared

3.NO EATING, SMOKING, or DRINKING (except from water fountains in the Galley) is allowed AT ANY TIME in the Galley.

To clean the station, use the THREE (3) BUCKET SYSTEM.
- one to “WASH” ,soap and hot water.( RED BUCKET )
- one to “RINSE”, hot water ( GREY BUCKET )
- one to “SANITIZE”, water and chlorine (WHITE BUCKET )
(Chlorine is 100 parts per million or, (to make easier) use one (1) cupful of chlorine per gallon).


Hand Washing Techniques using WHO standards. (Specially due to Pandemic Covid19 outbreak)

Wet your hands with warm water. Apply a generous amount of soap.
Step1: Right palm over left dorsum with Interlaced fingers and vice versa
Step2: Palm to palm with fingers Interlaced
Step3: Backs of fingers to opposing palms with fingers Interlocked
Step4: Rotational rubbing, backwards and forwards with clasped fingers of right hand in left palm and vice versa.
Step5: Rinse hands with water
Step6: Dry hands thoroughly with a single use towel
Step7: Use towel to turn off fauce
